Dental implants are artificial roots. They are implanted replacing missing natural roots and are inserted directly into the jaw bone. They ‘carry’ the prostheses, for instance single crowns, and the whole construction resembles natural teeth. Most implants are made of titanium which has the ability to integrate with the bone without rejection and does not cause any allergies. Implants can be combined perfectly well with prostheses. This method is presently the most modern way of replacing missing teeth.
