Stains build up on our teeth due to the natural process of teeth aging, and staining from red wine, coffee, tea or nicotine, affecting our enamel and discolouring our teeth. Normal dental hygiene is often not enough to remove these stains and bleaching (for instance with hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide) is now the only remedy. However, before every bleaching you should have a thorough Professional Dental Cleaning and check if all your teeth are free from caries and your gums are healthy. Bleaching products from your chemist’s, pharmacy and supermarket are just as effective – some however, are detrimental to your teeth and gums. The results with these products are often accordingly bad. We will be more than happy to give you some advice regarding the advantages and disadvantages, different methods and which one would be best for you.
